Reserving materials

Reserving materials

You can reserve materials in person at the library, by telephone, or through the OUTI online library. Making reservations is free of charge.

All OUTI libraries have a shared reservation queue, meaning that the reserved item can be sent from any OUTI library. You can choose to receive a notice by e-mail, SMS or letter when your reservations become available for collection.

Raahe Public Library uses self-service collection of reserved materials. You will receive a collection notice, which includes a reservation code. The code helps you to locate your reserved materials on the (self-service) reserved materials shelf. You can change the reservation code on your personal information page of the OUTI online library or through the library’s customer service. Please remember to borrow your reserved materials. If you fail to pick up your reservation on time, you will be charged a fee.

You can freeze your reservation temporarily without losing your place in the queue. When you freeze a reservation, the material will not be forwarded to your library until you reactivate your reservation or until the freeze period ends.

You can cancel a reservation on the OUTI online library if the reserved item has not arrived for collection. If you want to cancel a reservation which has already arrived for collection, please contact the library. You can also borrow your reservation and then return it immediately.
